A Prayer of Thanksgiving for Deliverance
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and awe. Thank You for delivering me from the sin that once held me captive—alcohol, anger, dishonor toward my father and mother, and the pride of self-reliance. You are my Rescuer, my Redeemer, and the only One worthy of my trust.
For too long, I tried to carry life on my own shoulders. I depended on my own strength, sought comfort in the wrong places, and let my emotions lead me astray. But You, Lord, stepped into my chaos with grace and truth. You broke my chains, calmed the storm inside me, and lifted me up from the pit I had dug with my own hands.
Thank You for teaching me to walk in humility and to honor those You have placed in my life. Thank You for breaking the bottle’s grip and softening the hardness in my heart. Thank You for freeing me from the illusion of self-sufficiency and showing me the joy of total dependence on You.
Lord, I confess I still need You every moment. I ask that You fix my eyes on You—first and foremost. Let everything else fade into the background compared to the beauty of Your presence. Keep my heart aligned with Yours. Let my decisions, my thoughts, my actions all flow from a deep desire to please You above all else.
May my life now be a living testimony—not of how strong I am, but of how faithful You are. Let my story reflect Your mercy, and let my days be filled with praise.
In Jesus’ holy name,
Amen.
